La Federación Italiana de Taekwondo volvió a enviar una señal de fortaleza organizativa y profundidad deportiva al reunir 569 atletas en el Campeonato Italiano Cadete 2026, la cifra más alta de su historia en esa categoría. El dato no solo confirmó crecimiento de base: también volvió a exponer por qué FITA se sostiene como una de las estructuras federativas más profesionales y respetadas del Taekwondo internacional.

Byung Hee Kim appointed ATU Technical Committee Chair

The Asian Taekwondo Union has confirmed one of its most strategically sensitive areas in the hands of a proven operator. Byung Hee Kim was appointed Chair of the Technical Committee for the 2026 term, according to the official letter signed by ATU President Sang Jin Kim. The move is far more than an internal designation: it puts a veteran referee, national team coach, WT educator, and ATU council member at the center of the continent’s technical machinery.

LAUSANA, Suiza — Comité Olímpico Internacional oficializó una nueva política que establece que sólo podrán participar en categorías femeninas de los eventos del programa olímpico las atletas definidas como “biological females”. La medida incluye una verificación inicial basada en la detección del gen SRY, no será retroactiva y comenzará a aplicarse en los Juegos Olímpicos de Los Ángeles 2028.
