Gracias a una iniciativa de la legisladora Cindy Ryu, el estado de Washington aprobó una exención fiscal para las clases de Taekwondo, lo que significa que la disciplina quedó reconocida en la legislación estatal como una actividad con valor educativo, cultural y deportivo.

The Pan American Taekwondo Union (PATU) officially announced the removal of Dennis Berdugo as Sport Director on September 23, 2025. In his place, the organization appointed Master Santiago Escutia Martínez, in an effort to restore credibility and transparency within the technical area.
