Kukkiwon Demonstration Team Shines at the International Chiefs of Police Summit

Seoul, Korea – The Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team delivered a special performance at the 5th International Chiefs of Police Summit, earning high praise from the audience, which included police chiefs from more than 30 countries and representatives from major international organizations such as INTERPOL, EUROPOL, and ASEANAPOL.

The performance took place during the official dinner program held at the Conrad Hotel in Yeouido.

The team showcased a dynamic program combining poomsae, breaking techniques, and high-difficulty kicking skills, delivering a message focused on peace and solidarity.

The presentation transcended language and cultural barriers, highlighting Taekwondo’s role as a universal means of emotional connection and cooperation.

First major showcase under new Kukkiwon leadership

This event marked the first official demonstration since Yoon Woong-seok assumed the presidency of Kukkiwon, setting the tone for a more active presence in global engagement and sports diplomacy.

Kukkiwon underscored that the performance not only promoted Taekwondo but also helped strengthen ties with key international security and governance stakeholders.
