Choue to Attend the 20th Anniversary of the OTU and the 2026 Oceania Championships in Sydney

SYDNEY, Australia — Dr. Choue Chung-won, president of World Taekwondo, confirmed his attendance in Sydney to participate in the 20th Anniversary Oceania Taekwondo Union Gala Dinner & Awards, scheduled for March 27, 2026, and will also attend the 2026 Oceania Taekwondo Championships, set for March 28 and 29 in Australia.

This confirmation represents a special honor for the Oceania Taekwondo Union, which will celebrate two decades of work and continental growth with an agenda featuring a ceremony, awards, and official competition. Under the presidency of Maher Magableh, the OTU continues to strengthen its institutional development within the global Taekwondo movement.

Dr. Choue’s presence will lend special significance to a celebration that will highlight Oceania’s evolution within the international structure of World Taekwondo, further reflecting the enduring bond of cooperation between the global body and its continental unions.

The 2026 Oceania Championships will be held at the Whitlam Leisure Centre in Liverpool, New South Wales, organised by Australian Taekwondo, as part of the official calendar recognised by World Taekwondo.
