The signing ceremony took place during the Inaugural PTF Hall of Fame Awards & Gala, held at the ION Hotel in Baguio City, Philippines, with the attendance of Taekwondo leaders, national presidents, and grand masters representing various styles and regions.
Under the agreement, PTF and KT recognize Grand Master Choi Jung Hwa as President of the International Taekwon-Do Federation, continuing the legacy of his father, General Choi Hong Hi, founder of Taekwon-Do.
In reciprocity, the ITF recognizes Kombat Taekwondo as the world’s professional Taekwondo league, supporting opportunities for ITF athletes to participate in professional KT events.

“The Professional Taekwondo Federation and Kombat Taekwondo are deeply connected to the legacy of General Choi Hong Hi and the ITF he founded. We are committed to honoring that legacy through cooperation and recognition under President Grand Master Choi Jung Hwa.”
