International Poomsae and Freestyle Seminar Brings Together World-Ranked Athletes in Argentina
Alex Siliezar, honored at the 2025 PATU Awards for his work as a Poomsae coach, will arrive in the country along with six athletes from the Guatemalan national team. The workshop, aimed at athletes and coaches, will take place on August 15 and 16 at the Don Bosco Sports Complex.
Argentina will host an international seminar focused on the most important technical, methodological, and rule requirements of competitive Poomsae.

The International Poomsae and Freestyle Seminar will be led by Alex Siliezar, head coach of the Guatemalan national team and one of the continent’s most renowned coaches. His work was recognized by the Pan American Taekwondo Union during the 2025 PATU Awards.

Siliezar will travel with six international-level athletes who are part of Guatemala’s competitive process. Among them are:

- Alejandra Higueros, ranked number one in the world in Freestyle and third in Recognized Poomsae.
- Lucía Icuté, ranked fourth in the world in Freestyle.
- César Aguilar, ranked seventh in the world in Freestyle.
The joint presence of the coach and his athletes will provide an inside look at the methodology applied by a national team that has established itself as a leading force in continental and global Poomsae.

A workshop for athletes and coaches
The seminar is aimed at athletes and coaches interested in refining their knowledge and understanding the current demands of Recognized Poomsae and Freestyle.
The program will cover technical accuracy, training planning, routine development, World Taekwondo regulations, and the criteria used to evaluate a competitive performance.
The goal is to provide tools that can be applied both to athletes’ individual performance and to coaches’ daily work.

Key Areas of Focus
The following topics will be covered over the two-day seminar:
- Fundamentals of technical performance: control, power, stability, and precision.

From South Korea to Argentina
One of the key highlights will be the opportunity to train alongside six members of the Guatemalan national team, who will arrive in Argentina after completing a training camp lasting over a month in South Korea with leading international figures.
Participants will be able to observe their training dynamics, learn about the tools incorporated during that preparation, and understand how to build a process geared toward high performance and the current demands of global competition.
For the athletes, it will be an opportunity to review their performance, identify areas for improvement, and train in an international-level environment.
For coaches, it will offer the chance to incorporate methodologies, analytical criteria, and resources applicable to their own training and athletic preparation processes.

A New International Experience
The seminar will take place on August 15 and 16 at the Don Bosco Sports Complex, organized by MASTKD and FSion as part of the FSion Experience event series.
It will feature two days of training, analysis, fellowship and practice alongside a team that is fully integrated into the international circuit.
A unique opportunity to learn, train, and share the mat with leading figures from the world’s Poomsae elite.
