Gimcheon to Host Historic 2026 World Taekwondo Championships Open to All Styles and Levels
GIMCHEON, KOREA — The global Taekwondo community will unite in Korea as the 2026 World Taekwondo Championships takes place from July 10–12, 2026, at the renowned Gimcheon Sports Complex. This landmark event is sanctioned by the Professional Taekwondo Federation (PTF) and organized by the World Sport Committee (WSC), with strong support from MASTKD and official sponsorship from Gimcheon Municipal City.

This is the first World Championships in history to honor every major style of Taekwondo under one global event.

Winners of the 2026 World Taekwondo Championships will be recognized as the Best of the Best, earning international status across all Taekwondo communities.
In addition, champions in the Kombat Taekwondo Major League will receive exclusive invitations to compete in the Kombat Taekwondo Grand Prix, the world’s premier professional Taekwondo championship series.
Post-Event Taekwondo Camp & Cultural Tour
July 13–16, 2026
Following the championships, an optional Taekwondo Camp & Cultural Tour will offer four days of elite training, cultural immersion, and guided experiences throughout Korea—extending the journey for athletes and coaches.
