Professional Taekwondo Federation and Kombat Taekwondo Mark Historic Advancement in Ethiopia
The Professional Taekwondo Federation (PTF) and Kombat Taekwondo (KT) proudly celebrated a historic milestone in Ethiopia, highlighting the nation’s growing role in the global development of Professional and Traditional Taekwondo. The celebration coincided with the second year anniversary of the Ethiopian Martial Arts Professionals Association and the expansion of Kombat Taekwondo and Professional Taekwondo Federation programs across the country.
The Professional Taekwondo Federation (PTF) and Kombat Taekwondo (KT) proudly celebrated a historic milestone in Ethiopia, highlighting the nation’s growing role in the global development of Professional and Traditional Taekwondo. The celebration coincided with the second year anniversary of the Ethiopian Martial Arts Professionals Association and the expansion of Kombat Taekwondo and Professional Taekwondo Federation programs across the country.
The event featured a week-long series of technical and educational training programs in Kombat Taekwondo, Professional Taekwondo, and International Taekwon-Do (ITF), conducted under the global standards and supervision of the Professional Taekwondo Federation, the world governing body uniting Professional, Traditional, and Olympic-style Taekwondo.
From October 16 to 21, Sabom Eliyas Kumel, President of Kombat Taekwondo Ethiopia and Professional Taekwondo Federation Ethiopia, led intensive sessions on Professional and Kombat Taekwondo rules and regulations, as well as ITF technical training for Ethiopian instructors, referees, and athletes. These programs aimed to strengthen technical capacity, improve competition standards, and align Ethiopia with the international framework of the Professional Taekwondo Federation.
At the conclusion of the celebration, President Eliyas Kumel addressed the national media, reaffirming Ethiopia’s commitment to promoting Professional and Kombat Taekwondo under the vision and mission of the Professional Taekwondo Federation (PTF) — uniting all Taekwondo disciplines under one global standard of professionalism, integrity, and excellence.
This historic occasion marks a new chapter in Ethiopian martial arts, symbolizing the nation’s integration into the worldwide movement of Professional and Kombat Taekwondo, guided by the Professional Taekwondo Federation.
