A Brand Inspired by Peru’s Diversity and Energy

The Lima 2027 Organizing Committee took center stage to present its progress and vision for the Games. Federico Tong, President of Lima 2027, alongside Renzo Manyari, President of the Peruvian Olympic Committee, detailed upcoming projects backed by an investment of over $750 million USD.

“A brand inspired by the dynamism of Peru,” Tong explained. “It reflects a nation that vibrates with its diversity, its blend of races and traditions. It is the shared heartbeat of a region that seeks to recognize itself, celebrate itself, and project itself to the world. Here, every athlete, citizen, visitor, and cultural expression becomes part of a pulsating network that connects emotions, dreams, and collective narratives.”

Manyari emphasized Lima 2027’s role as a bridge to the next Olympic cycle: “Within this energy, Lima 2027 creates a link across the Pacific — a bridge between cities, generations, and dreams. It connects the continental dream with global achievement. From Lima, the road leads to Los Angeles 2028.”

The Peruvian Olympic leader also highlighted the torch’s symbolic power: “Our torch is a Peruvian symbol for the world. Its flame rises from Machu Picchu, shaped entirely by Huayna Picchu.”

Continental Recognition

Neven Ilic, President of Panam Sports, expressed his approval: “Yesterday, the Panam Sports Executive Committee approved this official logo and brand for Lima 2027. We believe it fully embodies the identity, passion, and character of Peru, while also representing the unity of the Americas.”

The XX Pan American Games will take place from July 16 to August 1, 2027 in Lima, Peru, welcoming over 7,000 athletes from across the continent in one of the most significant multi-sport events of the Olympic cycle.
