World Taekwondo President Dr. Chungwon Choue Mourns the Passing of His Wife, Lee Yoo-kyung

Dr. Choue and their four children — two sons and two daughters — are mourning the loss alongside family members, friends and loved ones.

The wake is being held in Room 12 of the funeral hall at Gangdong Kyung Hee University Hospital in Seoul. The funeral procession is scheduled to depart on Wednesday, September 30, at 7:00 a.m. local time.

Dr. Choue has dedicated much of his life to the development of Taekwondo and has served for many years as President of World Taekwondo, becoming a widely recognized figure within the international Taekwondo community.

At this difficult time, however, the Taekwondo community comes together not around his role as a sports leader, but in sympathy with a husband, a father and a family mourning the loss of a loved one.
