MASTKD to Make History with Its First International Campus in Korea
The worldwide leader in Taekwondo information will launch an immersive experience at Taekwondowon in December 2026. The program will welcome families, schools, instructors and practitioners of all ages, ranks and experience levels.
MASTKD will open a new chapter in its history with its first International Campus in South Korea, an initiative that will allow participants to experience Taekwondo in its country of origin through its martial, sporting, cultural, artistic and technological dimensions.
After more than two decades of international coverage, education and connection across the global Taekwondo community, MASTKD will arrive in Korea with a project of its own: the MASTKD Korea Camp 2026.
The experience will take place in December at Taekwondowon, in Muju, one of the world’s most iconic venues devoted to the preservation, development and international promotion of Taekwondo.
An experience for the entire Taekwondo community
The MASTKD Korea Camp will not focus exclusively on elite athletes or high-performance preparation.
The program will welcome families, schools, masters, instructors and practitioners of all ages, ranks and skill levels. Participants will not need international competitive experience, an advanced belt or membership in a national team.
The main purpose is to offer an inclusive experience that brings the international community closer to the origins, values and cultural identity of Taekwondo.
Each activity will provide participants with the opportunity to learn and participate according to their experience, interests and physical condition.
Taekwondo through all its dimensions
The preliminary schedule includes five days of activities that extend far beyond competitive practice.
The program features:
- Poomsae and technical fundamentals.
- Kyorugi exercises adapted to different levels.
- Taekwondo demonstration techniques.
- Performance skills and basic breaking activities.
- Taekwondo Dance, choreography and musical expression.
- Virtual Taekwondo experiences.
- Team challenges and group activities.
- A tour of Taekwondowon.
- Ski activities at Muju Resort.
- A closing ceremony and certificates.
Music, movement, technology, tradition and teamwork will be part of an immersive journey through the many expressions that Taekwondo has developed in Korea and shared with the world.
Taekwondo, culture and family
One of the main features of the Campus will be its family-oriented format. Parents, children, masters, students and representatives from different schools will share activities, visits and recreational experiences within the same program.
Rather than a conventional sports camp, the project will offer an immersive encounter with Taekwondo culture, its history, its evolution and the values that define it.
The schedule will also include winter activities at Muju Resort, with options suited to each participant’s previous experience.
A strategic alliance with the TPF
The initiative is the result of the institutional relationship between MASTKD and the Taekwondo Promotion Foundation (TPF), based on a shared vision for the international development of Taekwondo.
During the 2026 Fujairah Open and Arab Cup, Jung Heon Kim, President of the TPF, Vice President of the Asian Taekwondo Union and Poomsae Chairman, met with MASTKD. That meeting established the foundations for a relationship focused on concrete international projects.
The TPF contributes its structure, experience and presence in Korea. MASTKD adds more than two decades of international expertise, a deep understanding of the global Taekwondo community and a platform capable of turning ideas into opportunities for practitioners, families and schools from different countries.
This relationship positions MASTKD as a strategic bridge between the needs of the international community and the opportunities available in Korea, with the capacity to develop proposals, coordinate solutions and provide access to experiences that once seemed out of reach.
The concept of TSR – Taekwondo Social Responsibility established the framework for this alliance: to use Taekwondo as a tool for education, inclusion, human development and international cooperation.
The first MASTKD International Campus in Korea represents the first major project to emerge from this shared path. It also confirms that the relationship with the TPF has moved beyond institutional dialogue and has become a platform for initiatives with global reach.
A new chapter in MASTKD’s history
Since its foundation in 2003, MASTKD has documented the evolution of international Taekwondo through journalism, exclusive interviews, educational content, events and projects across several continents.
This Campus represents a new dimension for the company: MASTKD will no longer only report the stories that emerge from the world’s leading Taekwondo venues—it will create an international experience of its own at one of the sport’s most emblematic destinations.
Korea: a destination to experience, learn and share
The MASTKD Korea Camp 2026 will offer participants from different countries the opportunity to discover Korea through Taekwondo and explore the discipline in all its forms.
The final dates, participation requirements, fees and registration process will be announced through MASTKD’s official channels.
MASTKD will travel to Korea not only to tell a story, but also to invite the international Taekwondo community to become part of it.
