MUNICH/NUREMBERG, Germany — European Taekwondo leaders confirmed that the 2026 European Senior Taekwondo Championships will be staged in Munich at BMW Park, with organizers communicating May 12–14, 2026 as the updated championship dates following calendar adjustments.
The organizing side said the change was made to protect the wider international schedule and keep key European events aligned, while maintaining Germany’s expanded role in the 2026 continental program.
Munich Returns to the Center Stage
ETU presented the move as a symbolic return for Munich, which previously hosted the European Seniors in 1978, placing the city back on the map for one of Europe’s most prestigious taekwondo championships.
Nuremberg Keeps Two Major Pillars in June
Germany will also host the WT President’s Cup in Nuremberg on June 4–7, 2026, while ETU scheduled its 50th Anniversary event for June 6, 2026, also in Nuremberg, as part of a year-long celebration of the union’s legacy.

Ticketing and Public Information
Organizers stated that previously issued tickets tied to the earlier plan would be handled through refund and re-sale processes connected to the rescheduling.
Because some public-facing event pages have displayed different dates during the rollout, teams and attendees are advised to follow the latest organizer updates as official channels synchronize their listings.
