CALGARY, Canada – February 26-28, 2026. The traditional Canada Open / Open du Canada will mark the start of the season’s ranking competitions in Pan Am region, reaffirming Taekwondo Canada’s role in organizing high-level events and positioning Calgary as a prominent venue on the road to Olympic qualification.
The official World Taekwondo event will be held at the WinSport complex (88 Canada Olympic Road SW, Calgary, Alberta) and will award points for the WT World and Olympic Rankings, ensuring the presence of national teams, high-performance clubs, and top-level athletes from different continents.

Organized by Taekwondo Canada, the championship has become a classic on the North American calendar and for PATU, combining tradition, solid organizational structure, and a host city with experience in international events. Registrations will be managed through the official WT platform, Simply Compete, once the Organizing Committee has completed all formal requirements.
The 2026 Canada Open will be held exactly one week before the 2026 U.S. Open Championships in Las Vegas, naturally forming a high-level competitive circuit in the same region, with the possibility of accumulating a large number of points in just a few days.
