Türkiye in Wuxi: Young Energy, Veteran Strength, and a Nation’s Legacy

The Turkish National Taekwondo Team has arrived in China ahead of the Wuxi 2025 World Taekwondo Championships, bringing together a balanced mix of emerging talents and proven champions.

Competing from October 24 to 30, Türkiye will be represented by 16 athletes among nearly 1,000 participants from 181 countries. The delegation reflects the enduring power of Turkish Taekwondo—a blend of discipline, resilience, and results.

Turkish Taekwondo Federation President Bahri Tanrıkulu, himself a world and Olympic medalist, emphasized the new cycle and the strong preparation behind the squad:

“We’ve reached the end of a long preparation process. Our team is young but already successful and full of potential. It’s a mix of promising athletes and experienced names. Each of them earned their place here. We’ll do everything to represent Türkiye in the best possible way,” said Tanrıkulu.
