The Alliance of Independent Recognised Members of Sport (AIMS) held its General Assembly at the Maison du Sport International in Lausanne, the global home of international sport, with the distinguished presence of International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Kirsty Coventry.

President Coventry emphasized the importance of unity, transparency, and cooperation within the Olympic Movement, recognizing AIMS as “a trusted and essential pillar of the Olympic family.”

Stephan Fox Re-Elected as AIMS President with IOC Support

During the Assembly, Stephan Fox was unanimously re-elected as AIMS President for another four-year term. Under his leadership, the organization has reinforced its role as a bridge between the IOC and international federations seeking Olympic recognition, promoting good governance, inclusion, and gender equality.

AIMS is one of four IOC-recognized umbrella organizations within SportAccord, alongside ASOIF, AIOWF, and ARISF. It represents international sports federations working toward full Olympic recognition, supporting transparency, fair play, and development across the global sports community.
