In addition to hosting a Grand Prix in 2026, Muju will also serve as the venue for the Grand Prix Challenge 3 in 2027 — a tournament aimed at broadening qualification access under the revised Olympic ranking system.

A Global Competitive Framework

The confirmed cities reflect the continued geographic spread of the Grand Prix circuit, which offers athletes from across continents an opportunity to compete within the current qualification structure.

During its recent Executive Committee meeting held in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates, World Taekwondo confirmed the host cities for the upcoming editions of its prestigious Grand Prix series. These decisions reflect the Federation's commitment to global expansion, fairness in competition, and the continual enhancement of Olympic qualification systems.
