Winter Training Camp for Nuevo León State Taekwondo Team Successfully Concludes
The Nuevo León State Taekwondo Team concluded an intensive Winter Training Camp held from December 15th to December 30th at the State Institute of Physical Education and Sports (INDE). The camp aimed to prepare the team for the upcoming national and international competition seasons through rigorous physical and mental training, as well as skill development aligned with the newly updated competition rules.
The Nuevo León State Taekwondo Team concluded an intensive Winter Training Camp held from December 15th to December 30th at the State Institute of Physical Education and Sports (INDE). The camp aimed to prepare the team for the upcoming national and international competition seasons through rigorous physical and mental training, as well as skill development aligned with the newly updated competition rules.
Talking about Poomsae (forms) team, training was directed by Seoung Min Rim, a highly esteemed high-performance coach and former head coach of the Canadian National Team and Ukrainian National Team. He was accompanied by his team of coaches, including:
- Eun-A Kang, a member of the Kukkiwon Demonstration Team.
- Hye In Cho, captain of Kyung Hee University’s Poomsae Team.
- Wooram Park, a strength and conditioning specialist.

The camp provided an opportunity for athletes to enhance their skills, adapt to evolving competition standards, and strengthen their physical and mental resilience. Speaking about the training, Rim expressed his satisfaction: “We aimed to equip the team with the necessary preparation for the new season, focusing on both physical and mental conditioning while also introducing new skills. I am pleased with the progress the athletes have made.”
Julio Ramos, Director of Taekwondo at INDE, praised the quality of the program, stating, “We are very happy with the quality of the trainings provided for our athletes and would love to have them back on a regular basis.”
This collaborative effort underscores the commitment of Nuevo León’s Taekwondo community to elevate its athletes to the highest levels of competition. With the guidance of world-class coaches and a focus on continuous development, the team is poised for a successful season ahead.
