In a show of almost total endorsement, Angelo Cito has been re-elected as President of the Italian Taekwondo Federation (FITA) for a third consecutive term, achieving an impressive 98.55% of the vote during the electoral assembly held in Rome. This election reaffirms the community’s confidence in the direction Cito has driven, marked by a focus on inclusion, social responsibility and the integral development of athletes.

In his speech, Cito stressed the importance of a federation that not only responds to sporting needs, but also to the personal growth of its members. “A federation that does its job well has a great responsibility to satisfy both the sporting aspects and those that contribute to the development of athletes,” he said. The massive presence of associations at the event highlighted the collective commitment to a Taekwondo that adapts to the current demands of sport and society. “To see such a positive response from all the associations is truly exciting and increases accountability to the movement,” commented Cito, who further expressed his thanks to all involved.

The assembly also served as a platform for Cito to emphasize the core values that characterize FITA. “The federation is not only defined by competitive results. It is necessary to win to get recognition and institutional support, but the most important thing is the values that support Taekwondo. The values of our federation are untouchable,” he stressed. This philosophy highlights Cito’s vision of a Taekwondo that, beyond victories, is built around ethical and formative values.

With this re-election, Angelo Cito reaffirms his commitment to continue promoting an inclusive federation that not only aspires to competitive achievements, but also serves as an engine of personal and social development for its members. FITA, under his leadership, will continue to work to strengthen Taekwondo in Italy, responding to the sporting and training needs of its athletes, and consolidating its position both nationally and internationally.
